    Overview

Problem: About 6.3 million pets enter animal shelters every year, half being dogs needing specific supplies to stay happy and healthy so they can get adopted. Shelters nationwide face shortages of these critical supplies like blankets, toys, and pet food.

Solution: Take a pledge to give the neighborhood dog a good grooming, but instead of charging their owners, ask them to donate pet supplies to your local shelter. You’ll earn verified volunteer credits and inspire others!

This campaign is part of DoSomething’s Strength Through Service program, inspired by the changemakers in each episode of “The New Volunteers”, a new docuseries by Roadtrip Nation in partnership with The Allstate Foundation. For each action completed, volunteers earn a signed certificate to fulfill volunteer or service learning requirements and have the chance to be selected as a “New Volunteer of the Month” featured on DoSomething channels!
