    Overview

Problem: 49 million people in America face food insecurity, meaning their household is unable to access a sufficient amount of affordable and nutritious food. And, according to Feeding America, communities of color are disproportionately impacted due to historical societal inequities.

Solution: Take a pledge to support your local food banks and community fridges by donating nutritious food items. You’ll earn verified volunteer credits and inspire others with your efforts!

This campaign is part of DoSomething’s Strength Through Service program, inspired by the changemakers in each episode of “The New Volunteers”, a new docuseries by Roadtrip Nation in partnership with The Allstate Foundation. For each action completed, volunteers earn a signed certificate to fulfill volunteer or service learning requirements and have the chance to be selected as a “New Volunteer of the Month” featured on DoSomething channels!
