    Overview

The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command serves anyone in crisis in the District, Suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Whether it’s a hot meal, help paying a bill or a more long-term solution, every county in the region includes either a Salvation Army Corps or field office ready to help.

Join us this November for the Safeway Feast of Sharing as we celebrate the season by giving back to those in need! This FREE Thanksgiving Meal is served by dedicated volunteers like you to nearly 5,000 members in our community.

We need help in November on the days leading up to the event with Advance Food Prep and Making Care Packages as well as on the day of the event, typically the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

All advance food prep volunteers must be 18 or older.

All volunteers at Safeway Feast of Sharing event on Wednesday must be age 12 or older.
