    Overview

Flamingo Gardens is a botanical garden and Everglades wildlife sanctuary with the largest collection of Florida native wildlife and 18 of the largest trees of their species. A 60 acre peaceful tropical oasis in busy south Florida, Flamingo Gardens aims to preserve all nature in South Florida.

Flamingo Gardens welcomes volunteers of all ages 12 and above. This includes high school students (ages 15-18) completing their community service hours (with consent form signed by a parent) and families wishing to be actively involved volunteering with their children ages 12-14. (Ages 12-14 may volunteer only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.)

New volunteers must attend orientation before their first shift.

Volunteer opportunities include helping out in Food Services, Hospitality and Information, Horticulture, Maintenance & Woodworking, Retail Gift Shop, Special Events, Wildlife Care, and much more!
