    Overview

The mission of Free the Streets is to provide helpful resources to empower and assist young adults with skill development and self awareness. Free the Streets continues to make positive impact via social service, art and culture initiatives to assist individuals in the community.

Free The Streets provides a wide range of volunteer opportunities suitable for individuals with different skills, interests, and levels of availability. The organization hosts events and programs throughout the year, including both weekday and weekend activities. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, concession work and community-building projects.

Volunteers with Free The Streets have the chance to meet new people, strengthen community connections, build professional relationships, and develop new trade skills while contributing to a meaningful cause. They also receive various forms of recognition and incentives throughout the year.

Above all, volunteering with Free The Streets offers the fulfillment of supporting the organization’s mission to bring social services that foster community change. Through participation in fundraisers, concession operations, community gardens, and other programs, volunteers are able to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact.

Current community development projects include street beautification, community interviews for a documentary, and the Teen Summit Series & Cultural Arts Showcase.
