    Overview

The mission of the Geisinger Health System is “to enhance the quality of life through an integrated health service organization based on a balanced program of patient care, education, research and community service.”

    Junior Volunteer Program (JVP)

When school is out, summertime offers teens between 15-18 years old the chance to participate in a 6-week structured service program. We offer an exceptional experience through diverse service opportunities and planned educational days. Those interested must submit an online application, provide references, successfully complete the interview process, and commit to serve a minimum of 4-5 hours each week during the summer session. Participation in weekly educational workshops that explore various areas within the healthcare environment is also required.
