    Overview

The Gentle Barn relies on volunteers to help care for nearly 200 animals. Volunteers assist on Sundays and throughout the week by caring for animals, sharing their stories with visitors, and providing support where needed. Roles include Sunday Docents, Horse Groomers, Barnyard Buddies, Barn Hands, and Office Support. Volunteers must be 14+. Whether earning service hours or looking for a meaningful way to give back, this is an unforgettable experience!

The Gentle Barn rescues animals suffering from severe abuse and neglect, providing a safe home for those too old, sick, or fearful to be adopted. The sanctuary cares for horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, turkeys, chickens, llamas, peacocks, emus, cats, and dogs. There are two Gentle Barn locations in Nashville, Tennessee and Santa Clarita, California.
