    Overview

    Green Impact Campaign's mission is to better equip the next generation of climate leaders while reducing the environmental impact of small businesses. GIC is a non-profit providing students across the country with cloud-based tools and training to go out and conduct free energy assessments for local, small businesses in their community.

    GIC volunteers support local businesses by identifying energy-saving opportunities. After completing training, they use the GEMS platform—a self-guided tool—to answer simple yes/no questions about a business’s energy use. GEMS then generates a customized report with recommendations for cutting consumption. The process usually takes about 20 minutes and can reveal around 20% in potential savings.
