    Overview

Our mission at HorsePower for Kids is to serve inner-city children, at-risk children, and any child that could benefit from riding, learning about, and loving horses. Studies show that interaction with horses can improve self-esteem, character, work ethic, social skills, and academic performance.

HorsePower for Kids is an outdoor animal sanctuary and family fun farm in northwest Tampa, near Oldsmar and Westchase. Our farm offers an Animal Petting Area, Pony Rides, Playgrounds, Western Town, Tire & Bench Swings, Tree House, Corn Pit, and Maze & more.

Volunteers are the backbone of HorsePower for Kids! The volunteer program is largely responsible for the every day operation of the farm. We rely on volunteers for feeding, animal care, cleaning, administration, and on-site daily assistance.

Volunteers must be 15 years old or older.
