The Houston Public Library Foundation unites partners who value lifelong learning. Through advocacy and fundraising we support the Houston Public Library’s wide range of initiatives with particular emphasis on its neighborhood libraries and their community programs.
Support your local library by volunteering with the Friends of the Houston Public Library at the Book Warehouse! No prior training/experience is needed; guidance will be provided at the Book Warehouse. We welcome all volunteers ages 13 and up to join us.
The Friends of the Houston Public Library host a variety of volunteer opportunities. Organize and recycle donated books at our warehouse where we process, sell and reuse 800,000 books a year.
