    Overview

The Humane Society of North Texas relies on generous volunteers to help provide care and support for homeless animals. Volunteers play a crucial role in preparing pets for their forever homes, making a lasting impact on both the animals and themselves. HSNT offers various opportunities, including fostering, dog and cat socializing, adoption assistance, clinic help, event support, and equine/livestock care. If you love animals, there’s a volunteer role for you!

Since 1905, the Humane Society of North Texas has worked to prevent animal cruelty, promote humane values, and reduce pet homelessness. Through rescue efforts, humane education, and life-saving resources, HSNT provides a safe haven for animals and leads the community in animal welfare.

Volunteers at HSNT can help in many ways, from walking dogs and playing with cats to assisting with adoptions and supporting large cruelty cases. There’s a role for every interest, including representing HSNT at events. Those interested in working with horses and livestock can volunteer outdoors, learning hands-on skills in animal care—no experience needed. HSNT provides training to ensure volunteers can safely help with these amazing animals.
