    Overview

There are many ways that individuals and organizations can volunteer with us to make a difference in the life of just one person or in the well-being of the larger community. We offer flexible volunteer opportunities that fit into all lifestyles ranging from a one-time experience to a full year commitment.

We focus on serving particularly vulnerable populations including children and adults with disabilities or mental illness, new mothers and their infants, seniors living with chronic conditions, and people experiencing financial crisis, hunger, or domestic abuse.

Volunteers are a vital part of Jewish Family & Children's Service. Men and women of all ages and backgrounds generously give their time, energy, and experience to help isolated seniors, new parents, recently arrived immigrants, people with disabilities, and others in need. Volunteers also provide professional assistance with various administrative projects at the agency's office in Waltham.
