    Overview

Join us by volunteering at our local food pantry and mobile food distribution events and/or by applying to the Junior Advisory Board (JAB), our flagship youth leadership program.

JHF is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that trains and empowers youth to address global issues, such as hunger and poverty, themselves.

In 2005, JHF was founded on then-4-year-old Joshua Williams’ belief that no one is too young to make a difference. After 20 years of addressing food insecurity, we are using our grassroots hunger relief initiatives as training grounds for the next generation of global leaders & changemakers.

The central mission of JHF is to equip locally-engaged youth with the business expertise, real-world leadership experience, and collaborative network they need to eliminate hunger and poverty in their communities. That means that the kids run the show. From applying for grants to sorting food donations to managing our socials, our youth leaders have a hand in every aspect of our work.

Please check out our Eventbrite page for the most up-to-date volunteer opportunities!

ALL VOLUNTEERS: We need volunteers of all ages* to help sort and pack groceries to distribute to families in need. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to help! This is a great opportunity for the whole family to give back to the community and make a difference. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please register thru our linked Eventbrite page. All ages* are welcome (*12 and under must be accompanied by an adult). For groups larger than 10 people, email volunteer@joshuasheart.org to register.

TEEN LEADERS: We're accepting applications from young volunteers in grades 7th-11th who are willing to go above and beyond typical volunteer roles.

Apply to our local Junior Advisory Board (JAB) program to learn business skills, find leadership opportunities, and make an even bigger impact on your community while still earning community service hours. Our JAB members use their acquired skills to actually plan and host the same distributions that they volunteer at. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and do the work!

If interested, please hit the "Request Info" button and ask for a link to the JAB Application in the "Questions/Comments" box. More details are provided on the application.
