    Overview

    The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami’s youth programs offers advanced educational programming and opportunities to gain experience in the visual arts fields.

    Young Artists Initiative (YAI) is the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami’s selective youth arts development program. YAI connects young artists (9th through 12th grade) to the museum’s collection and local arts community through an immersive program that explores a different theme or practice each year.

    Portfolio Prep for Academic Art Programs: ICA Miami offers a two-week summer course designed to prepare incoming 7th and 8th grade students who intend to apply to magnet and charter arts schools. Participants will be guided by high school mentors from New World School of the of the Arts, Miami Arts Charter and DASH to prepare for the competitive application process through portfolio review and sketchbook building exercises.
