    Overview

The North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center (NCTRC) empowers children and adults with physical, mental, emotional and social challenges to create more active, healthy and fulfilling lives through equine assisted activities and therapies.

Volunteers are essential to NCTRC’s work! Most help as horse leaders or sidewalkers during weekly 30-minute riding and therapy sessions, building strong bonds with clients and the team. Not available weekly or prefer a different role? Volunteers also assist with events, admin work, and farm care. No experience needed – training is provided. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old to help ensure client safety.
