    Overview

The NextGen Forest Ambassadors (NGFA) program offers outdoor skills, leadership, stewardship, and connection. Get to know land management agencies and nonprofits who work together for public lands, be a voice for public lands in a youth summit where we will name obstacles, solutions, and begin designing ambassador-led stewardship projects.

Learn and be inspired through peer discussion about the forest, outdoor recreation opportunities, Leave No Trace, and how to be a social media influencer for public lands. Through inspirational guest speakers and educators, a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion will permeate the experience, encouraging Ambassadors to claim their inheritance of these lands and inspire others to do the same.

Join creative forces with a conservation professional in 1-1 mentorship pairings that span the program and stewardship project. Complete the program with a ten-hour stewardship project of your choice! Past projects have included art, music, social media, community efforts, and more. Ambassadors who complete all program commitments will receive a $100 stipend!

All levels of experience are WELCOME - no outdoor skills or gear are required, and there’s NO COST to participate.
