    Overview

    NORC Program Greeter Volunteers assist at a NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) program at Masaryk Towers (75 Columbia Street). Tasks include greeting, providing information to visitors, and assisting with registration.

    Greet neighborhood residents and help them access community programs!

    The United Jewish Council of the East Side (UJCES) supports the Lower East Side and wider NYC community with human services and community development programs. While the majority of services are oriented to older adults, UJCES also has programs for families and children. UJCES volunteers are essential to our mission as we serve New Yorkers.

    DETAILS: NORC Program Greeter Volunteers assist at a NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) program at Masaryk Towers (75 Columbia Street). As a volunteer, your tasks would include:

    - Greeting and welcoming visitors to the community center

    - Providing information about programs

    - Assisting with sign-in and registration Answering questions

    Bilingual language fluency in Spanish, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin is helpful but not required. Shifts are offered weekdays. Training is provided on site.

    You can join compassionate people in helping older adults receive community resources.
