    Overview

Project Open Hand’s mission is to improve health outcomes and quality of life by providing nutritious meals to the sick and vulnerable, caring for and educating our community. As an essential services provider and public health partner, POH will continue to operate during this medical crisis and serve the community.

We are looking for volunteers to help us prepare and package medically-tailored meals at our San Francisco location. Volunteers are asked to package hot meals and frozen meals into containers, as well as deliver them, and ideally on a reoccurring basis but one-time volunteers are also welcome.

We also welcome financial donations, face masks/cloth donations, toiletries, and food donations from licensed food providers. For more information about how to sign up for volunteering and the details of our process, please check our website.
