    Overview

We believe that reading is a civil right and we envision a future where all children in the US have the reading skills necessary to reach their full potential.

Through the Reading Partners program, students are paired with volunteer tutors to receive high-quality literacy tutoring at no cost to students or their families.

Meet and work with others committed to and energized by helping children become lifelong readers. No prior teaching experience is required. We only require that our volunteers be at least 14 years old and commit to at least an hour a week for a full semester.

Volunteers can tutor online or in person. Our in-person regions include: Baltimore, Charleston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Los Angeles/Pasadena, Minnesota, New York City, SF Bay Area, Seattle, Tulsa, Washington DC
