    Overview

The San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission provides shelter and guidance for homeless families at our Home Again Family Success Center in Northridge. Our family shelter offers families the opportunity to recover from the devastating effects of homelessness by meeting the basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter while identifying the underlying reasons for becoming homeless and establishing a plan of restoration.

Volunteers bring a variety of gifts and talents to help people in need. Each year, thousands of people offer their time, talent, and goodness of heart to help make a difference in the lives of those who are experiencing homelessness. Opportunities are on-going, year-round, and leave a lasting impression upon our guests. At the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, there is a place for everyone with time to give.

Teens 14 + may be without a parent present. It is important to note that only volunteers ages 16+ may volunteer in our kitchen, in keeping with Department of Health standards.
