    Overview

    Special Olympics is a global movement of people who want to improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. SODC provides sports, training and competition for over 2500 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the District.

    Volunteers are the heart of Special Olympics, helping athletes succeed on and off the field. From running drills to managing events, they make a real impact while sharing endless high fives and smiles. People of all backgrounds and skills are welcome to join the movement!
