    Overview

The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command serves anyone in crisis in the District, Suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Whether it's a hot meal, help paying a bill or a more long-term solution, every county in the region includes either a Salvation Army Corps or field office ready to help.

The Salvation Army could not fulfill its mission as effectively without the assistance of dedicated volunteers who share their skills and time to enhance our programs.

We have one-time, short-term, and long-term opportunities for individuals and groups. Our service opportunities are organized by location. View meal prep, gardening, painting, care package locations, and more from here: https://salvationarmynca.org/volunteer/
