    Overview

33 years of projects ranging from carpentry to serving meals to children, environmental initiatives and setting up ceremonial tipi lodges with local partners, all while living in the dramatic landscape of the Northern Rockies on an 1100 acre conservation ranch. You'll experience Plains Indian indigenous culture with community members who welcome you like an old friend. Time is also spent connecting with the land in the same way that you'll be connecting with new friends and experiences.

In addition to our summer programs for teens, VISIONS runs high quality, GROUP volunteer travel programs for schools, clubs, families and others who want to travel with the spirit of community service, cultural immersion and adventure.

The Montana Blackfeet Reservation is a legendary VISIONS program where volunteer groups are welcomed by local friends, elders, the Brave Dog Society, and other tribal members who work hard to serve their community while also preserving ancient traditions. Projects range from physical labor to social service, with multiple worksites to choose from each day.

You’ll be regularly integrating new knowledge and affirming perspectives. Service work blends with cultural engagement as we help set up teepees for ceremonies and are then invited to attend those very ceremonies. We attend the powwow, go horseback riding, hike, and connect with sacred Blackfeet ancestral lands.

VISIONS group volunteer programs can be customized for durations of one to four weeks and are open to people of all ages.
