    Overview

The YMCA of Greater Boston is dedicated to improving the health of mind, body, and spirit of individuals and families in our communities. We welcome men and women, boys and girls of all incomes, faiths and cultures.

The Oak Square YMCA serves Allston-Brighton, Watertown, Brookline, and surrounding neighborhoods, and was renovated in 2001. The universal design of this facility ensures that it is accessible for all. Today, the YMCA is one of the community’s leading social service providers.

    Volunteer Opportunities

    • Program volunteers each, mentor, guide and offer support. Volunteers assist as youth sports coaches, member services volunteers or through clubs, classes and events.
    • Volunteers for credit provides opportunities for students who need to participate in school-required volunteer services.
    • Fundraising volunteers help the YMCA listen and respond to our region's most critical social needs. They help inspire compassion and involvement in our community through fundraising for the annual campaign, sharing personal testimonials, joining Togetherhood and encouraging others to support the YMCA.
