    Overview

The arts programs at Bethany College are designed to provide study in the disciplines of Music, Theatre, and Visual Art and to enhance understanding of historical and aesthetic unity with creative practice. Over 20 courses are offered, with opportunities for individualized study.

Courses taught in the Visual Art program at Bethany College are designed to teach students to see the world in a different light and to explore their environment through passionate investigation. Our goal is to cultivate creative thinking, problem solving, and thoughtful exploration.

We offer a wide range of courses that expose students to drawing, painting, print making, design, ceramics, sculpture, and art history. Our classes are created to nurture artistic skill, build technique, and promote free thinking.

Our students are taught to look to the past in order to build a more informed future. In addition to an art major, we offer a minor, which is a perfect complement to any course of study at Bethany. The importance of creativity, curiosity, and the ability to adapt cannot be overstated in an ever changing world. Small class sizes and one-on-one instruction foster individual growth, while cultivating a community of artists.
