Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at the George Washington University

Focused on the idea of direct and intensely creative education, the Corcoran offers 22 bachelors and masters degrees in the visual and performing arts, as well as in art history, interior architecture and museum studies.

The Corcoran's vibrant and active community includes more than 500 degree students pursuing a wide range of studies. We have a strong track record for placement with top-ranked employers after graduation, since students can work and study at some of D.C.’s most prestigious companies, galleries, museums and design firms. Our students have internships at National Geographic, the Smithsonian Institution, National Public Radio, and the Washington Post, just to name a few.
