Situated perfectly in Franklin, Massachusetts, between Boston and Providence, Rhode Island, over 90 percent of students live on campus in one of 13 residence halls. From first-year residence halls to condo housing, Dean offers guaranteed housing for all four years. Outside of the classroom, students participate in 16 varsity sports and more than 40 on-campus groups and organizations. Dean is a fun and vibrant campus community that offers a variety of student-run clubs, organizations and leadership opportunities.
At Dean, individual attention and customized learning matters deeply. No one should go at it alone, and that’s why a personal Success and Career Advisor works with each student. Our Success and Career Advisors believe in their students, develop a relationship beginning in the students’ first days on campus and stay with them for the duration of their time at Dean. Their goal is to turn academic potential into achievement.
Along with the Success and Career Advisor, each Dean student experiences the Dean Career Advantage (DCA), a four-year program with a holistic approach that is designed to provide students with the tools necessary to develop a career mindset and achieve success after graduation. Throughout each semester, the DCA is embedded into the curriculum with networking, resume building, mock interviews and job searching based on your individualized career plan. You will develop skills such as work ethic, professionalism, communication skills and time management. These will prepare you for internships, study abroad and ultimately help you acclimate successfully into the professional workplace.
Ninety-six percent of our bachelor’s degree students are employed or enrolled in graduate school within 12 months of graduation. Alumni are hard at work in top-ranked graduate programs and are employed by organizations such as WEEI Radio, Universal Studios, Kraft Sports + Entertainment, the Boston Ballet, the Broadway Dance Center, and more.
