    Overview

As a public, two-year comprehensive technical college, MATC offers exceptional educational and training opportunities and services to our diverse metropolitan area by engaging with partners to advance the quality of life for our students and community.

Why MATC? An MATC education offers outstanding value relative to four-year colleges and universities. Through MATC, you can start a new career or expand on your current skills. We offer 200 degree, diploma, certificate and apprentice programs, providing multiple paths to success. While you receive a well-rounded education, you also work toward becoming a job-ready graduate. MATC has the most diverse student population of any college in Wisconsin and serves a wide age group. Recent high school graduates and older adult students learn together in classrooms and labs. The content of many MATC courses matches the curriculum at four-year colleges and universities. Partner colleges demand high standards as part of accepting credit transfers. Courses will challenge you as you prepare to become a skilled employee or advance to university-level studies. At the same time, MATC provides a nurturing environment for students to succeed academically. With campuses in Downtown Milwaukee, Mequon, Oak Creek and West Allis, MATC is convenient to attend. Take your classes during the day, evenings, weekends or online to fit your schedule.

Develop your leadership skills through more than 30 student organizations, including student senate and clubs linked to academic programs. Learn first-hand about world cultures through international student groups and student development programs. Gain writing, photography and visual design experiences through the MATC Times student newspaper and Phoenix literary magazine and compete on varsity men's and women's athletic teams.
