    Overview

    Monterey Peninsula College offers courses to prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions, to prepare for the workplace, to update work skills or prepare for a new career, to gain a general education, and to improve basic skills in mathematics, reading, writing and science.

    The Creative Arts Division houses the Art, Drama, Graphic Arts, Music and Photography departments. There are nine physical buildings, including an art gallery. There is a full spectrum of classes in which students may obtain an associate degree, transfer to four-year institutions, or achieve personal enrichment. The Art, Drama, Music and Photography departments present performances, exhibits and demonstrations on an ongoing basis.
