    Overview

Queens University of Charlotte provides transformative educational experiences that nurture intellectual curiosity, promote global understanding, encourage ethical living, and prepare individuals for purposeful and fulfilling lives.

By the numbers, it's clear that Queens is a student-centered university. With a 12:1 student-faculty ratio and student body of about 2,400, we proudly offer a personal approach to a top-notch education grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Our quality has been affirmed by numerous rankings and awards, and our Honor Code permeates every facet of our campus culture - for students, faculty and staff alike.

Since our founding in 1857, every year at Queens has been marked by something extraordinary. In 1950, King George VI of England sent a King James Bible to be used in the newly constructed Chapel on campus. Jimmy Carter spent a week on campus in 1987. The Presbyterian School of Nursing moved to Queens in 2004, and we celebrated the opening of our Sports Complex in 2006. In more recent years Queens has received multi-million-dollar gifts that are helping to propel our transformation into a leading university in the Southeast even further.

We're a growing, thriving university that hasn't forgotten our Presbyterian heritage, and has continued to focus on providing transformational experiences for our students. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful, historic campus where you can experience all that Queens offers first-hand.
