    Founded in 1874, the University of Wisconsin - River Falls is one of 13 comprehensive universities in the prestigious University of Wisconsin System. Located on 226 acres of rolling land, just 30 minutes from the Twin Cities, UWRF is a leader in exemplary teaching, undergraduate research, and sustainability. Our mission is to help prepare students to be productive, creative, ethical, engaged citizens and leaders with an informed global perspective. There are 69+ majors and minors in four colleges: College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Economics and the College of Education and Professional Studies. UWRF awards degrees in the Bachelor of Arts, Fine Arts, Music Education, Science, and Social Work; and Master of Arts, Business Administration, and Science. There are approximately 6,400 students (primarily undergraduate) and a student/faculty ratio of 19:1. Campus life includes 150+ student clubs and organizations and 16 varsity sports in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), NCAA Division III.
