Founded in 1921 by Elisabeth Irwin, LREI is an independent, progressive school serving children in grades pre-Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade.
At LREI, we consider our program to be a blend of hands-on academics, arts, athletics and community service learning that challenges students to ask questions, think deeply and make a positive impact in the world. We respect each childs intellect, creativity and voice — so much so that our faculty, while expertly guiding discussions and trips, encourage our students to lead the way.
