    Overview

Bentley's pre-college programs provide rising 11th and 12th graders with a taste of college academics and offers a chance to experience residential life. The programs allow students to build essential skills, expand their networks, and enhance their college applications, setting them on a path toward future success. Bentley offers 3 pre-college programs: Analytics Academy, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Wall Street 101.

    Analytics Academy

Explore the power of data and learn ideas and perspectives involved in data sciences, hear from guest speakers and complete a capstone project where you’ll put your new skills into action. The program aims to introduce high school students to data science, with an emphasis on creating a fun and positive experience. Through engaging with guest speakers and hands-on learning, students can develop practical skills and knowledge while working on a capstone project, allowing them to apply their newfound abilities in a real-world setting.

    Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Understanding how to turn creative ideas into successful ventures is crucial. Bentley's Entrepreneurship and Innovation program offers specialized courses like Design and Innovation for Women, Business of Health Innovation, and Adventures in Accounting, all designed to equip you with practical skills and knowledge. These courses will prepare you to tackle real-world challenges and excel in the dynamic world of business.

    Wall Street 101

There is an unprecedented increase in financial market volatility as investors react to the constant flow of news on economics, politics, healthcare, and finance.  Through simulated securities trading and valuation exercises,  industry analysis, portfolio construction, and engagement with senior-level executives from the financial services industry, students are introduced to the dynamic world of global finance and investing. Our instructors, with deep academic and industry experience, will help you develop insights on valuation and risk management to become a rational investor.  In addition, Wall Street 101 participants will connect with like-minded fellow high school students from across the globe, providing opportunities to gain strong global perspectives and life-long friends.

    Leadership

Strong leadership skills are crucial for success in any field. Developing leadership abilities at an early stage empowers you to tackle challenges, inspire others, and excel in your future studies and career, regardless of your chosen major. Join us to build a foundation of leadership that will support and enhance your academic and professional journey. This women-focused program helps students explore potential careers in business and college majors by taking skills assessments and working with Bentley faculty to understand the role of business.

    Sports Management

In the world of sports management, effective leadership is essential for driving success and innovation. Developing strong leadership skills equips you to navigate the complexities of managing teams, organizing events, and influencing key decisions. By mastering these skills, you’ll be well-prepared to excel in various roles within the sports industry and make a meaningful impact in your future career. This two-day residential program is for students who are interested in playing college soccer and learning about sports management. There will be two separate programs for men's and women's soccer and include morning lectures, guest speakers and afternoon clinics with coaches.
