    Overview

You’ll explore common childhood diseases such as measles and mumps, and identify neurological disorders.

This program will provide a fast-paced, hands-on glimpse into what it’s like to be a pediatrician. Students will gain insight into childhood diseases and contagion, bloodwork, and mental disorders of childhood diagnosis and treatments.

In this program, students will explore a variety of responsibilities that pediatricians have, through hands-on exercises and activities. First, they will learn the basics of evaluating a patient’s health through taking vitals and conducting physical exams including height, weight, vision, hearing, and blood pressure checks. Then, students will go on to learn preventative care and recommend lifestyle habits, including the patient’s mental health.

Students will have the opportunity to practice taking vitals on each other, as well as doing check-ups on our simulation dolls.
