Every summer Camp Birch Hill welcomes 180 to 200 campers per session for 2, 4, or 6 week stays. Campers are able to create their schedules from over 45 different activities through our unique elective based program.

A home away from home for boys and girls ages 6-16, Birch Hill welcomes 180 to 200 campers to its grounds in New Durham, NH every summer. The camps elective program lets campers choose from more than 45 different activities--including kickball, paintball, sailing, photography, and more--to create their own specialized schedules during their two-, four-, or six-week stays at the camp. Each camper also gets the option to try new activities during the personal choice period. Nightly programs, campfires, socials, overnight campouts, cookouts, exciting off-camp excursions, and more round out an active, fun-filled summer at Birch Hill.

Five summers ago, we spent 2.5 months looking for the "best" camp to send my brothers, aged 8 and 12 at the time. We emailed about 20 camps trying to get a feel for a camp that offered a plethora of activities, ran for most of the summer, but most of all, would provide a great summer for 2 boys that had never gone away to day camp, nevertheless sleepaway camp.

We decided on Camp Birch Hill and hoped for the best. Well, two weeks later when we called the boys, we could not believe how quickly they fell in love with the community. We were so thankful (and relieved) to hear their scratchy voices, sore from cheering on their peers, because that meant they were having fun (to say the least!), and even more thrilled (though slightly disappointed) when they wanted to go back to camp and not talk to us anymore.

Words cannot express my gratitude for what Camp Birch Hill has done for Chris and Alex. Though Chris aged out of camp, Alex is going back for his sixth year, and I honestly can't remember a time when he didn't talk about how perfect camp is and how he wishes he were at camp every day.

Camp became a haven for both the boys away from the chaos of the school year and for the boys to just be carefree kids. There were so many overwhelming camps to choose from that first year, and I cannot believe how lucky we were by choosing Camp Birch Hill.

This is a very special summer camp. The staff are incredibly welcoming and I feel so fortunate that this has been a home away from home for campers near and far. If you are looking for a warm and caring, friendly environment- this is the camp for you!
