    Overview

This intensive four-day clinic is designed for intermediate and advanced riders looking to improve their skills in the show ring.

Riders who attend this camp should be confidently jumping 2ft or higher on a regular basis. While campers do not have to have prior show experience, they should be interested in gaining an introduction to the USEF and collegiate show format. For those already actively competing, the clinic will allow them to hone their skills in their current division and prepare them for competitions in other styles.

Riders will participate in 2-3 mounted lessons per day from our experienced instructors focusing on show preparedness and performance. At the end of the four-day residential program, riders will participate in a mock show with a carded USEF judge as well as a roundtable judge’s clinic.

In order to maintain individual focus and work towards personal goals, this camp is limited to 14 participants. During their stay at Chatham Hall, campers reside in air-conditioned dorms supervised by an adult faculty member and high school- or college-aged counselors. In the evenings, campers are able to participate in fun camp games and activities, including tie dying, s’mores making, water balloon fun, movie night, and bingo.

Eligible riders are between the ages of 12-16 and have experience confidently jumping 2ft or higher on a regular basis.

The daily schedule includes 2-3 mounted lessons, classroom learning, hands-on instruction in various aspects of horsemanship, three meals in our dining hall, and evening activities.
