    Overview

    The Children's Acting Academy invites young performers to take part in its Summer Theater Program. Professional guest artists lead classes in acting, improvisation, movement, voice-overs, wardrobe, makeup and hair, TV, auditioning techniques, stage combat, singing, dancing and more.

    This program includes exposure to professionals in the fields of: stage combat, voice overs, dancing, singing, sketch, improv, audition monologues, and on camera TV and film acting, as well as trips to see current Broadway Musicals and/or Drama.

    Campers will do exercises working on expressiveness, spontaneity, physical and speech warm- ups, scenes, commercials, poetry, monologues, sketch comedy. They will be introduced to a series of exercises focusing on Chekhov technique, Meisner technique and Lee Strasberg’s relaxation, sense memory/method technique. Every Thursday of Camp will be a recital.
