    Overview

The Corinthian Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program invites all young sailors to come and discover the joys of sailing. No experience required! You need a sense of adventure and a willingness to learn. A variety of activities are planned, including swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding and sailing.

The objective of the program is to provide sailing and boating education both on and off the water, to a broad age range of kids (i.e., ages 8 through 17).  The addition of two sessions designed for more advanced junior sailors provides exciting curriculum for returning  junior sailors and campers with sailing experience.

Participants need to provide their own life jacket, sunscreen and swim suit. A variety of activities are planned, including activities in the swimming pool. The program runs from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. Participants must pass a swim test by swimming the length of the club pool without a life preserver. The test also requires putting on a life preserver while in the swimming pool. All participants must wear a properly sized life preserver.

We include lunch and also instruction in kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddle boards when the wind does not cooperate.
