    Overview

This summer, the Institute for Security, Technology and Society (ISTS) will convene an advanced cybersecurity program for high school students. This program explores current interdisciplinary research in cybersecurity and privacy. As our nation's critical infrastructure, political processes, and businesses come under cyber-attack, there is an ever-increasing need to educate more students to enable expansion of our cybersecurity workforce.

Students who apply to this program must demonstrate familiarity with cybersecurity concept and information technology prowess. The advanced program is open to students entering 9th through 12th grade in the fall. This program will focus on understanding system vulnerabilities, defending against cyber-attacks, digital forensics, privacy, and security awareness. Lessons will integrate lectures with interactive activities, augmented with guest speakers.
