DIYA Research offers an engaging suite of data science programs tailored for high school students in grades 9-12, designed to ignite curiosity, foster innovation, and develop essential analytical skills. Our programs cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners, ensuring that every student finds a pathway to explore the dynamic field of data science.
Who: High school students eager to delve into the world of data science, from those with no prior experience to those proficient in Python programming.
What: Our comprehensive curriculum includes three distinct programs:
- Data Science Exploration: A foundational 2-week course for grades 9-12, introducing students to data science basics through engaging projects and real-world applications, no programming experience required.
- Data Science Bootcamp: An intensive 4-week program designed for analytically inclined students in grades 9-12, focusing on Python programming and data analysis to solve complex problems through hands-on learning and collaboration.
- Data Science Research: A challenging 6-week program for 11th and 12th graders with a background in Python, offering an immersive experience in data analysis and predictive modeling, guided by expert mentors and geared towards real-world application.

Our students' accomplishments highlight the impact of our programs. They have published papers in the Journal of Student Research - High School Edition and participated in the Student Impact challenges at SXSW, showcasing their ability to apply data science in meaningful ways.
