Our summer camp offers four topics to choose from each week of the program. Learn and improve your skills in areas such as 2D Animation, Character Design, Storyboarding, Foundational Drawing and more! We focus on basic to intermediate levels with an emphasis on history, theory.
Elite Animation Academy has formed relationships with known Art and Design Schools such as Ringling College of Art and Design College, Full Sail University, SCAD, School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and The University of Central Florida-School of Visual Arts and Design, to name a few. Our Co-Founder is a former Walt Disney Studios Florida Animator, a graduate of the prestigious Ringling College of Art and Design located in Sarasota, FL. Combined, our instructors have over 50 years experience in the industry working for Walt Disney Feature Animation, Marvel and other major movie studios.
DID YOU KNOW ? Learning Animation is not just for movies, it is a lot more ! Animators create 2D and 3D images in motion for animated films, video games, commercials, and music videos. They create images, as well as special effects and other visual images, using video, film, or computer software. Some of the most common technology used by animators includes Adobe, AutoDesk 3DS Max, MAYA, VectorDesigner, and Ability Photopaint.
Animators make objects or characters appear lifelike by manipulating light, color, texture, shadow, and transparency, or manipulating static images to give the illusion of motion. They “create two-dimensional and three-dimensional images depicting objects in motion or illustrating a process, using computer animation or modeling program and design complex graphics and animation, using independent judgment, creativity, and computer equipment. Animators also design animation and graphics, create storyboards, and create designs, drawings and illustrations. They create, plan, and script animated narrative sequences, develop multimedia presentations and technical illustrations, and assist with background design and production coordination.
Animators work primarily in the following industries: Motion Picture and Video Industries Advertising, Public Relations, and Related Services Computer Systems Design and Related Services Specialized Design Services Technical and Trade Schools Aerospace Product and Parts Manufacturing Animators work in environments such as animation production studios, film and video production facilities, gaming companies, cartoon networks, advertising agencies, web design firms, graphic design firms, and mobile technology companies, to name few.
If you are interested in Animation or wish to pursue a career in Animation, graphics or game design, we will provide you with the tools necessary to create a portfolio to enhance your Animation skills and take it to the next level. Although, we cannot guarantee you a placement in these schools, our years of experience in the Animation Industry will give you a competitive edge during the application process.
