    Overview

Florida State University's Jazz Ensemble Camp is an excellent opportunity for musicians of all levels to refine their skills and meet like-minded individuals! Find out more!

Every day, campers will participate in workshops focused on the different aspects of instrumental jazz music. The classes will include topics such as jazz history, technique, improvisation, and effective practicing. They can also expect to play in a Big Band, sectionals, and a small combo. In addition, students will receive a personalized class schedule based off of their initial placement audition. That way, they can receive more indivualized feedback and instruction tailored to their needs. At the very end of the program, campers will participate in two final performances, which will take place in the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. They can also expect plenty of fun evening activities and opportunities to make connections!
