Program Overview
Global Achievers Academy builds global change-makers through a unique program of international cohort travel.
The program rotates among four continents over four summers, with students traveling in a cohort to North America, Europe, Asia, or Africa for two weeks. The relationships these students build, based on a shared passion for making a positive impact on the world and building a sustainable future, lead to lifelong friendships.
The curriculum focuses on pressing issues like leadership, sustainability, and technology, preparing students to become responsible global citizens. Beyond traditional subjects, the academy equips students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a changing world.
The program emphasizes leadership and personal growth, building students’ confidence and public speaking abilities while fostering independent learning. Depending on location, students may delve into specialized fields or have access to unique learning opportunities. Smaller class sizes and personalized learning ensure a supportive environment where everyone excels
Destinations
Depending on the year, students participate in programs in:
- Boston: Students call Tufts University home while they spend two weeks exploring and volunteering in Boston. Other highlights include an overnight trip to New York City, tours of Boston’s historical sites, outdoor activities, and guest speakers.
- London: Students stay at University College London (UCL), which is near many of London’s iconic sights. In addition to touring Oxford and Cambridge, students visit some of the city’s most famous landmarks and museums, see a musical, and volunteer — with time for sports and other exploration.
- Singapore (launching in 2025): We’re still developing this program, but students will have the opportunity to tour the city and explore attractions like Gardens by the Bay and the Science Museum, take a local cooking class, and partake in a tea-tasting experience.
- Cape Town (launching in 2026): Please check back for more details.
We carefully select each destination for its safety, cultural richness, and alignment with our globally focused curriculum.
Curriculum Highlights
We have based our diverse curriculum on five key modules inspired by the UN's 17 sustainable development goals:
- Technology & the Future - Investigating the latest technological advancements and their future implications.
- World History/Geographies & Art - Exploring the diverse narratives of global history, geography, and artistic expressions.
- Sustainability & the Environment - Emphasizing environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
- Leadership & Politics - Cultivating leadership skills and understanding global political dynamics.
- Finance & Economics - Enhancing knowledge in global economic frameworks and financial literacy.
Each program’s curriculum takes inspiration from the city in which it’s based. For example, in Boston, students learn about green cities and green buildings. Their visit to the Salem Museum focuses on a study of women in the Americas. In London, students explore modern art at the Tate Museum and learn about the business of Wimbledon on a visit to the famous stadium.
Volunteering and Community Engagement
Students participate in volunteering and community service initiatives, gaining practical experience in making a real-world impact. These activities are designed to instill a sense of global responsibility and foster deeper connections with diverse communities.
Guest Speakers
Our program includes sessions featuring guest speakers from various business sectors, providing students with insights into different industries and global challenges. We structure these sessions to promote critical thinking and offer inspiration from established leaders and innovators.
