    Overview

Snorkel alongside coral, fish, turtles, eagle rays and reef sharks while contributing to vital conservation efforts in this island paradise.

Join a team of international volunteers as an expedition member and assist on priority conservation projects. Dive into seagrass meadows. Walk through mangrove forests. Make an ethical impact, develop your professional skills, find lifelong friends, and have the adventure of a lifetime in one of the most beautiful habitats in the world.

As a member of the research team, you will be involved in assessing species composition of corals using Coral Watch’s protocol or conducting mangrove and seagrass ecosystem species composition and associated biodiversity, survey of nudibranchs, holothurians, weekly beach cleans, and assisting with entering data from beach patrols and cleans into citizen science databases or delivering environment and education workshops.

You will also help monitor other marine megafauna species across seagrass meadows and coral reefs, measuring population abundance and diversity.

Join one of the longest-running marine and terrestrial data collection efforts with GVI and the Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority. You’ll help support the creation of critical conservation policies through research.
