    Overview

    Green River Preserve Expeditions are co-ed teen adventure camps offering transformational life experiences and leadership training for rising 9th graders - college freshmen.  

     

    Green River Preserve Expedtions offers groups of up to twelve participants in rising 9th grade to college freshmen and their leaders two or three week adventure trips in one of our four expedition sites:

    • Base Camp Expeditions - Mountain Biking, a one-week mini expedition focused solely on mountain biking on and off the Preserve;
    • Base Camp Expeditions - Rock Climbing, aka "Rock and Read" is focused on further developing safe and supportive rock climbing skills, while spending downtime reading our favorite books;
    • Blue Ridge, a two week backpacking and whitewater canoe trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina;
    • and Leadership in Training, a 5 week leadership service expedition including a backpacking and canoe trip;
