Welcome to Future City: Designing Floating Cities for a Sustainable Tomorrow!
Embark on an exciting journey where you'll tackle real-world challenges, such as sea level rise, by designing innovative floating cities for a sustainable future. Using the Engineering Design Process (EDP) and project management skills, you'll create solutions that address the urgent need for resilience in the face of environmental changes.
This camp will feature the 2024-2025 Missouri High School Future City Team, along with Missouri S&T faculty and K-12 professionals who are dedicated to inspiring future generations. Together, we’ll explore hands-on engineering experiences that make science and math both relevant and exciting for students, parents, and educators alike.
Campers will also have the unique opportunity to tour the Rolla downtown area, including key landmarks such as City Hall, RMU, the Fire Department, Police Department, and the Hospital, while engaging with city planners and administrators.
