    Overview

Located in Florence, Italy, this innovative Junior Summer Camp offers a unique opportunity for young people to discover and explore their creative talent and potential through the exciting medium of fashion. This program will center on Costume Design, enabling every participant to unleash their imagination and uncover their creative identity.

The course will guide students through a two-step process. The first step is focused on research and idea development. Students will draw inspiration from various sources such as folklore, legends, contemporary culture, history or their own imagination, and will learn how to develop their ideas by utilizing the extensive resources available at the Polimoda library. They will then express their ideas through drawings or collages.

The second step involves experimenting with shapes, draping, decoration and detailing. During the fabrication phase, participants will have access to all the necessary materials, mannequins and technical support needed to bring their ideas to life. To complete the costume design, each student will also create headpieces and other accessories.

Finally, on the last day of the course, students will have the opportunity to showcase their creations through a special performance.

The program consists of lectures and workshops focused on various aspects of fashion and is taught by experienced teachers and specialized educators with a deep understanding of children's training courses. Our well-balanced teacher-to-participant ratio ensures that each child receives individual attention and support, enabling us to meet their unique needs throughout the program.
