    Overview

The AIMS program is a component of Saint Louis University's School of Medicine Center for Anatomic Science and Education. The AIMS Summer Medical & Surgical Procedures Workshop provides an overview of anatomy and an introduction to careers in the health care field. This workshop is available for all students in the age group of high school freshmen to incoming college freshmen (ages 15-19) interested in science and medicine.

The AIMS summer workshop at Saint Louis University is for high school students considering a career in medicine and health-related fields. Our summer workshop provides an in-depth look into various career paths in medicine, health care and health education.

During the summer workshop, physicians and professionals from various medical specialties provide programs in their area of expertise using auditorium presentations, hands-on laboratory experiences, group interactions and patient interactions. All students have the opportunity to observe a live surgery during this workshop.
