    Overview

Improve your SAT score, get a taste of living on a college campus and enjoy tradtional summer camp activites! You'll leave camp ready to hit new heights on the SAT® exam, but also having made memories at a campfire under the stars with friends you’ll stay in touch with for the rest of your life.

The Socratic Summer Academy has worked with hundreds of students from around the country and the world, helping them achieve dramatic score increases on their SAT -- on average, several hundred points in three weeks. Students come to camp not just to learn, but to be part of a vibrant camp community that nurtures their passions, exposes them to life on a college campus, and helps them overcome their individual academic challenges and prepare for their future.

We offer camp at Cogate University and Mount Holyoke College.  We have combined with the Yleana Leadership Academy, our non-profit summer camp experience for low-SES kids from urban areas, to offer opportunites for all students to help them acheive their dreams. Students in our program get their first taste of college life inside a loving, welcoming, and introspective summer camp community that relies on trauma-informed care and positive behavior modeling to have inclusive discussions about social justice issues and pushes students to think critically using design thinking and entrepreneurship.
