Get charged up about electrical engineering! Learn how engineers develop solutions to problems with an iterative design process. This hands-on course will give you practical experience in various engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, civil, and biomedical engineering. Get ready to engage in team-based design challenges, learn to use appropriate tools and software to build take-home projects, and gain exclusive access to campus research labs and engineering facilities.
Explore the similarities and differences between engineering disciplines and gain insights from university faculty and students. You'll learn the engineering problem-solving approach by:
- Building a smart night light with four functions
- Designing, printing, and soldering 3D structures
- Experimenting with computer-aided design interfaces
- Testing and optimizing a water filtration system
- Competing to build a device to solve a problem
- Building and using a sensor interface
