    Overview

This hands-on course will give you practical experience in various engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, civil, and biomedical engineering. Get ready to engage in team-based design challenges, learn to use appropriate tools and software to build take-home projects, and gain exclusive access to campus research labs and engineering facilities.

    Explore the similarities and differences between engineering disciplines and gain insights from university faculty and students. You'll learn the engineering problem-solving approach by:

    • Building a smart night light with four functions
    • Designing, printing, and soldering 3D structures
    • Experimenting with computer-aided design interfaces
    • Testing and optimizing a water filtration system
    • Competing to build a device to solve a problem
    • Building and using a sensor interface

    Life On Campus

    Outside of class, you will enjoy social activities, develop lasting friendships, and get a taste of college life on campus.

    Cost and Session Information

    To be accepted into this program, you must be a rising junior or senior in good academic standing.

    For 2025, this program is open only to US residents between the ages of 15 and 17.

    Program Cost: $2,250 ($45 application fee)

    A limited number of scholarships are available to offset the program costs for students with demonstrated need. The Scholarships are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    *Apply by the early action deadline and receive a $100 discount on the program fee.
